Medium bean bags started out in life in a variety of four different shapes. Being the teardrop, armchair, cylinder and sack, the range of shapes has expanded over time. Bean bags are now available as sofas and gaming chairs, with extra large dimensions being one of the more popular of modern times. The bean bag chair dates back to the 1960s. Although there is no definitive answer as to who came up with the idea, history presents different candidates who were thought to have pioneered the bean bag.

The first candidate to have created the bean bag chair is a man named Roger Dean who is probably more famous for his paintings rather than his furniture design. He created designed the sea urchin chair, made of foam and a sphere shape the chair conformed to the body creating an extremely comfortable place to rest and made up of 12 different sections which were glued together and covered if soft fur, the chair featured in the cult film classic A Clockwork Orange.

Experience both fun and comfort with the Jaxx Palermo bean bag. This is a foam bean bag chair that fits the needs of modern design; this alternative chair feels as good as it looks. This bean bag is made from shredded polyurethane foam. This light weight chair is easily portable; the seat back on the bean bag provides back support. It creates a comfy retreat to sit back and unwind, curl up with a book, or play video games for hours on end.
